Cooking from scratch became a necessity, and I discovered a newfound love for it. I got really frugal with how I spent money and quickly realized that we could live without a lot of things we thought we needed. This sparked my interest in hydroponics. Although my first attempts mostly didn’t work, they worked just enough to plant the seed of an idea in my head: self-sufficiency.
